Niall's Power Morning Primer

Being Passionate. Taking Action. Feeling Confident.

That all starts with making a decision to feel good.

In these 7 videos, Niall outlines how to create a good day through intention and challenges you to look at the 'victim mentality' that we all use at times that keeps us in a dis empowered state.

Make your #1 intention to FEEL GOOD!

Then let your day roll from there!

Video 1:

Why have a morning Routine &

The Fire Breath

I'm breaking this routine into steps to create a strong WHY.

Which hopefully will lead you to investing even as little as 1 minute to something that will make your day better.

I reckon Tony Robbins says it best:

"I don't want to wake up and HOPE I'm in a good mood, I want to be sure of it, or at least as sure as I can be"

If you're willing to whinge about feeling low energy and being grumpy, but are NOT engaging in a short morning routine...

TAKE RESPONSIBILITY and own that you are, in fact, CHOOSING to feel down because you don't want to put some energy into feeling good.

SECTION 1:

FIRE BREATH

- 3 rounds of 30 rapid breaths through the nose while pumping the arms.

- 3 deep slow breaths between rounds

If you want to really get involved, imagine pulling in the energy of the universe as you breath.

By doing this, you have consciously decided that you are choosing to feel good.

Why else would you engage in a crazy intense breathing practice?

That mindset IS the key behind a morning routine.

"I want to feel good/better"

Video 2:

INTENTION

Intention

**First of all, let's address the elephant in the room.

The flies are friendly, I get it.

But what am I going to do?

Shower more than once a month?

What, are you crazy?

C'mon. No.**

Right, so you've done the fire breath.

Your heart is pumping. Your lungs are active.

Now we get into programming the mind.

Part 2: SETTING A DAILY INTENTION.

Total time: 15 seconds

This is all about CHOOSING who you want to be, and how you want to approach the world.

1.) Choose one word that describes how you want to approach the day. (Playful, confident, brave)

2.) Make a bubble in your mind and inside that bubble, play a video of what you will have to go through today.

See yourself in the state chosen.

**Be sure to visualise yourself in challenging as well as normal situations throughout the day. But see the playful/confident/brave version of you and how they handle it.**

3.) Think of the colour of that word and put that colour through your mental bubble.

4.) Take three deep breaths and VIVIDLY imagine how it would look and feel to breath in and absorb that energy.

That's it.

Tomorrow: THE PHUN FOCUS LIST

Video 3:

The PHUN FOCUS LIST

The word 'goals' is fucking boring.

So instead I like to call it, the PHUN FOCUS LIST.

Total time: 2 minutes.

PHUN (definition): A way to attack the world, FINDING enjoyment in ANY activity.

Fun, on the other hand, is an activity that is enjoyable.

I went through the blues mid Africa trip last year.

And realised in retrospect, that it was because I stopped challenging myself to learn or grow after climbing Kilimanjiro.

Discovering that growth and learning is really high on my values list.

So my focus this year was to achieve things that made me proud of 2019.

That meant choosing goals that scared me or challenged me.

Goals that most people would say were not fun at all - they seem unbearable, painful or boring.

Phun is taking a playfulness into challenges so that you enjoy them AND grow by completing them.

By writing down your focus list daily you are focussing your mind on the positives and good things in the future rather than the challenges.

Just asking yourself the question "What am I working towards again?"

Is a powerful mindset focus.

It's the beginning in the morning routine of CONSCIOUSLY focussing on what's good. And when you do that, you feel good.

1.) Write down 1, 2 or 3 things you're working towards. (I find it best to write down the action your taking this week that will lead you to that goal)

2.) Vividly visualise the goal as DONE.

That is - What would you see, hear and (especially) FEEL when it's complete?

NEXT VID: GRATITUDE

Extra Video:

"But 'Ive got NO idea what I want!""

A video if you don't know your 'Phun Focus List' yet.

So, what I didn't add into yesterday's video about goals is...

I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN SCARED OF SETTING GOALS.

And that's just changed recently.

And because I've noticed it in most of the people I speak to, I thought it's necessary to talk about.

Because you won't add it to the morning routine if you have no clue.

First of all, I was WAITING for MY PURPOSE, or passion to arrive in my life and guide me.

Because I was scared of the uncertainty around choosing one direction and the courage that would take.

It felt so uncomfortable to take responsibility for all that risk if I chose the wrong direction.

So, instead I just drifted.

Letting the sea of life decide my direction.

So if I (or one of my clients) say "I want to find my purpose"... but I'm not taking action on finding it...

It doesn't make logical sense.

There MUST BE some emotion (fear, discomfort) between me and living a life on path.

So if you are doing just that, my advice is this:

Instead of saying "I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WANT"

Look deeper, and be honest with yourself to say:

"IM TOO SCARED TO FIND OR CHASE IT BECAUSE..."

- Failure

- Self Doubt

- Success

- Society

- or whatever it is

...And you're unconscious will start doing the work to clear it for you.

Video 4:

GRATITUDE

Gratitude.

Total Time: 3 minutes

Gratitude is the happiness switch my friends.

Or the 'ENjoyment Switch' it might be better labelled.

It allows you to enjoy or appreciate whatever it is that life is throwing at you.

2 simple steps:

1.) Write down 5 things you're grateful for.

I choose:

- A PERSON Feel love or find positives from a person in your life.

- AN EXPERIENCE I'll have today. Some people don't have work, some people don't have cars, some people done have families. Appreciate something you take for granted.

- $ MONEY $ Saving, earning or appreciating what you have

- MY HEALTH Anything that works just the way it should is fine. Be grateful you're not paralysed or have use of your hands.

- MY CHALLENGE: The life challenge or emotions I'm now facing and searching for how they might serve me.

2.) Go back over what you've written and for each say the word "THANKYOU", three times with FEELING.

* FEELING THANKS IN YOUR BODY AND SENDING IT OUTWARDS IS THE WHOLE POINT OF THIS EXERCISE *

The writing is just to focus your mind really.

The learning, the enjoyment, the happiness, the appreciation...

Comes in the FEELING

Video 5:

WHAT WOULD MAKE TODAY KICK ASS?

WHAT WOULD MAKE TODAY AMAZING!!?

Writing this down is to shift your focus on your immediate future.

On the average morning, your focus will be in the shit you DON'T want to do:

- "I've got to get up"

- "I've got to go to work"

- "I feel tired"

- "Another boring day"

Writing down these three things focusses your mind on at least some of the good shit in your life.

Even if the day is HELL, you are consciously CHOOSING to focus on the good.

- A laugh with a colleague

- A delicious meal

- A nap

- The sunrise

- Ability to buy meat from a store rather than trekking through the Savannah, accurately throwing a spear and the butchering an animal... 😉

And in my opinion, if you drop your gratitude expectations your day lights up pretty quick.

IF there was a person that, just from drinking a delicious coffee, would come home and day to his wife: "I HAD THE BEST DAY EVER"

His life would be easy and amazing right?

Some people are like this. You know at least one.

* He nearly orgasms when he eats a good steak.

* She closes her eyes, smells and deeply enjoys her morning coffee.

* He laughs loudly and fully at a something he thinks is funny.

* She is completely present to a conversation.

WHAT IS THEIR SECRET??

They have made a conscious CHOICE to appreciate the little things...

"Oh! It's not that fucking easy Niall!!" ...

1.) Read the book 'The Magic'.

2.) Commit to the practices for the whole month.

3.) And tell me what you think afterwards.

...I DARE YOU. 😉

Video 6:

AFFIRMATIONS

Affirmations:

Affirmations is not about stating the shit you're already good at.

Although, that has wonderdul merit too..

Affirmations is about knowing WHO you want to be and then:

- (*if you're a hippy*) CALLING THEM INTO THEM WORLD

- (*If you wear a suit*) PRACTICING BEING THAT PERSON

It can be said as: "Fake it till you make it"

- "How might that future me act in that situation?" - "How would I like to FEEL in that circumstance?"

My system goes like this:

1.) VISUALISE THE IDEAL YOU

Make a mental mental video of future you at work, creating something, with a partner, with friends.

2.) DESCRIBE THEM out loud

Whatever images come up, describe what you see.

With FEELING.

HOW?

*IF YOU SEE SOMEONE PEOPLE WANT TO BE AROUND*

- You could describe him as fun. ❌BORING. No feeling.

- Describe how he puts out amazing energy and people feel good JUST BEING in that energy. And as you do it, FEEL✅ what it MIGHT feel like to pulse powerful joyful energy into the world and that energy lighting people up.

*IF YOU SEE SOMEONE THAT ATTRACTS MONEY OR OPPORTUNITIES*

- "I attract abundance" ❌ BORING. No feeling.

- "I am a magnet to opportunities and wealth" and as you say it, FEEL✅ what it MIGHT feel like to be a magnet that pulls in the right people, wealth, opportunities etc.

*IF YOU'RE A HIPPY* 😉

What you are saying to the UNIVERSE IS:

"I AM WILLING TO GIVE OUT POSITIVE ENERGY TO RECEIVE IT"

*IF YOU WEAR A SUIT*

What you are saying to your unconscious is:

"I WANT TO FEEL LIKE THAT, HELP ME FEEL IT"
